We’re excited to announce our call for art submissions to the Greater Chaco Benefit Auction – to be held on May 12th, 2018 at The Santa Fe Art Institute!
*All submissions of images and their descriptions are due April 22nd, 2018 by 12:00 PM (MT).
*Submissions will be reviewed by a jury of arts professionals, and we will notify applicants if work has been accepted for the benefit by April 29th, 2018.
*Unfortunately we cannot provide shipping costs (100% of the proceeds from the auction will go to The Greater Chaco Coalition Project Fund). However, if you live in Albuquerque or Santa Fe (or nearby), and coordinate with us before May 5th, 2018, it’s likely we can meet you to receive your work.
*Our fiscal sponsor, Dine’ CARE, will be issuing tax documents for those whose works are accepted and which fit the tax qualifications.
*We’ve included detailed instructions below; please let us know if you have any questions, we’ll be happy to answer them and to provide any needed assistance.
Please send artwork submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with the words “CHACO ART SUBMISSION” in the title of your email. We can accept up to 4 separate artwork submissions per applicant.
***We are looking for 2-dimensional works in all mediums- paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and mixed media; We cannot accept 2-D works larger than 65″ in any direction, or works exceeding 60 lbs. We additionally have limited space for small textile art pieces and a small collection of pottery or sculptural objects not exceeding 24″ in any direction and not over 60 lbs.

***Please submit images as 300 dpi jpeg files (1 image per artwork) labeled – this is the preferable format, ***however, please send in any image you have available (including a photo from your phone):
***If the title of the artwork is quite long, we ask that artists and donors use an abbreviated title, or that they choose just one key identifying word in the title.
***Along with the artwork images, we require an image list which will provide additional details about the works. Please format in the following way:

***All works must be either framed, or otherwise “ready to hang” with backing boards (foam core or mat board) and plastic sleeves, or sheets of plexiglass, so as to protect the integrity of the work and allow us to display it during the auction.
***If accepted, artists/donors must send work in by May 8th, 2018, or make arrangements for delivery/pick-up (arrangement required by May 5th).
